This is when something happens. An event that has an impact on our life and we experience an emotion, usually negative, around this event – anger, frustration, fear, upset, sadness despair etc. We adopt an “it is as it is” attitude. The bigger the event, the more difficult it is to ignore the negative emotion attached to the event. The stronger the emotion, the more negative we feel.
We have a choice on how we respond to an event. We will either say “Yes” to the reality, “It is as it is” and take responsibility, adopting “PAN” – (Positive Action Now) to start the process of improving things (Green Platform Thinking).
Or we will react, snap and say “No” to Reality, “It should not be what it is,” and become victim blaming, complaining and taking negative or no action (Red Platform Thinking).
Depending on which choice we make we will step onto either the Green or Red Platform. Whichever platform we choose to land on, Green or Red our minds use the same tools – Meanings, Questions, Beliefs and Metaphors to form how we interpret events and in turn, how we respond to those events.
Its your choice. Become a “better” person or become a “bitter” person.
The outcome we enjoy will depend on whether we have taken Green or Red Platform actions. There will be more Positive Outcomes from Green Platform actions and more Negative Outcomes from Red Platform actions.
Similarly there will be a more positive quality of life from Green Platform Outcomes and a more negative quality of life from Red Platform Outcomes.
Decisions shape destiny. Make the decision to live life on the Green Platform today and everyday! It’s just one choice away.
The power of Green Platform thinking is that you don’t have to wait for inspiration to strike and magically move you onto the Green Platform. If you wait for it to happen “spontaneously” you could be waiting forever – and be miserable in the meantime!
